This year, the IX Annual Meeting of the Graduate Program in Immunology, in its first completely online version, will address the theme “Translational Research from the bench to the clinic: a look at future applications of experimental data” . Through a multidisciplinary and dynamic approach, it is intended to explore the importance of basic research activities as a transfer of scientific progress in applied knowledge. In current times, breaking the barrier between scientific research and its clinical application becomes, in a social context, a necessity for human life, bringing the importance of communication between these areas. In this sense, we will discuss the role of translation in the knowledge chain, overflowing with aspects inherent to research and development, as well as its applicability and the importance of interdisciplinarity in this context.
