Translational research from bench to clinic: a look at future applications of experimental data
The event
This year the IX Annual Meeting of the Graduate Program in Immunology, in its first completely online version, will address the theme “Translational Research from the bench to the clinic: a look at future applications of experimental data”. This theme aims to explore the importance of basic research activities as a transference process of scientific progress to applied knowledge using a multidisciplinary and dynamic approach. Nowadays it is a social necessity to human life to break the barrier between scientific research and its clinical applications, highlighting the importance of communication between these areas. In this sense, we will discuss the role of translation in the knowledge chain, including aspects that are inherent to research and development, as well as applicability and the importance of interdisciplinarity in this context.

Educational activity
When we choose to learn and work with scientific research, we are invited to know the rules of conduct that regulate it. On the occasion of the annual meeting of our Graduate Program in Immunology, we invite students that have recently been enrolled in the program, from 11/01/2019 to 07/01/2020, to dive into topics related to research ethics and biosafety to acquire the indispensable tools for an efficient and responsible scientific training for graduate students. We would like to emphasize that these are international standards.
